 Dr Tamara (also known as Toma) Mogilevski is a consultant gastroenterologist and a co-founder of The Melbourne Gut Clinic - a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to improving the lives of people with gastrointestinal diseases. More details available at www.themelbournegutclinic.com.au

Dr Mogilevski graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical school with Honours and completed her specialist gastroenterology training at the Austin, Northern and Alfred hospitals.

Subsequently, Dr Mogilevski undertook a clinical research fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the Royal London Hospital as well as further endoscopic training at the Royal Free Hospital in the United Kingdom. Dr Mogilevski is active in health advocacy for IBD patients on a national level in her role as an elected member of the GESA Inflammatory Bowel Disease executive committee and is on the GESA research and clinical trials committee as the IBD representative.

Dr Mogilevski maintains a keen interest in research and has presented her work at national and international conferences. She was awarded the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council postgraduate research scholarship as well as the Research Training Program scholarship to complete her PhD. Her areas or research interest include those of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, the leaky gut and the gut-brain axis. She holds a public appointment at the Alfred Hospital and a research position at Monash University. Tamara is actively involved in medical trainee supervision and teaching.

Outside of work Tamara enjoys spending time with her young family, bush walking, trail running and pilates.
